I will use your exemple to update the
last login date after i add a user.

But i would prefer something like
today=`date +"%Y-%m-%d 00:00:00"`
dbmail-adduser -l $today ...etc

I read the dbmail database for reporting but i rather let
dbmail-adduser do the updates.
