Paul:

This may sound dumb. I am ready (today) to install dbmail. I went to dbMails
website http://www.dbmail.org and looked up dbmail-2.0 RC8. It looks like
somekind of a script. There are no instruction about running it or even how
to download it!!!

Where are the documents?

Do I need to first install dbmail (some version) and then run this script? I
have no idea how to proceed.

Is there any information which I can read?

Thanks in advance.

Kirti

Those docs are totally outdated. They were essentially correct up until
1.2.2 I
believe (when the whole build.sh hack was replaced by autoconf)

You should go for dbmail-2.0rc8 instead.

It is well (or at least much better) documented
It has startup scripts for most major distros
It has best-practice installation docs for the main MTA's
Its generally faster and has several additional features (such as ACL
support).
You will save yourself the hassle of upgrading from 1.2.x to 2.x
