After checking RFC 2087 - IMAP4 QUOTA extension and RFC-3502 - IMAP4, it would seem you are witnessing the correct response from dbmail.

The over-quota condition needs to be addressed by either increasing the quota or deleting some mail.

The amount of mail transferred into another folder will need to be less than the available mail quota. The event of sending mail to another folder involves first adding the mail to another folder and then deleting it from whence it came.

Can you see where this should be different? I can't.

What do you use for quotas, by the way?
I have found the need to increase this enormously since the proliferation of the digital camera. 250M is becoming a new norm.

Hi all,

I'm having a problem with dbmail where users who have reached their quota
cannot move messages to other folders. DBmail returns an error "quotum
would exceed". This problem exists in both 1.2.3 and 2.0.3.

Thanks,
Fei
