Gosh, Bart... that says nothing about dbmail; it's postfix. Have you checked through your Postfix configurations? master.cf, main.cf and Hint: What's up with your alias and virtual db?
You might consider shutting down postfix; moving your config files (/etc/postfx/*) to a safe place and commencing with a clean install of postfix version 2.2. Best don't use a Freebsd Port but wget the tarball and compile it yourself. Make sure you have killed the postfix daemon BEFORE installing the new binaries.
