Forgive me if I am repeating something, but I am now having problems
with this getopt issue on FreeBSD 5.2.1-RELEASE.

I successfully built dbmail on a 5.3-RELEASE machine, without any
getopt ports installed. I tried to do the same on a remote 5.2.1
box, and I get the exact same errors:

In file included from misc.h:32,
                 from pop3d.c:41:
/usr/include/unistd.h:374: error: conflicting types for `dm_getopt'
dm_getopt.h:66: error: previous declaration of `dm_getopt'
gmake[2]: *** [pop3d.o] Error 1
gmake[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/home/draft/dbmail_snapshot'
gmake[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
gmake[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/home/draft/dbmail_snapshot'
gmake: *** [all-recursive-am] Error 2

This is the March 23 snapshot, btw.

I tried the above steps to resolve this issue for FBSD 4.x, but there
is no /usr/local/include/getopt.h file on my machine. I installed the
misc/getopt port:

getopt-1.1.3_1 A getopt(1) replacement that supports GNU-style long option

Still no file in /usr/local/include, and still no successful build.

Again, it builds just fine on 5.3 but not on 5.2.1.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

Thanks in advance,
Angus Jordan
