I would like to know....after finish copying all the existing mails from some other imap server to dbmail, when a client connects to the new dbmail server, will the client need to resync (and possibly download again?) everything in his mail folder? coz afaik the unique id of the mail would not be replicated...

imapsync seems to be working great.  Currently in the process of
copying all the accounts.  so far so good.  mailbox2dbmail was faster
but for some reason it transferred the messages out of sequence making
it time-consuming to sort under horde.

benefit from this as well.

There is no need to touch the backend. There are several tools for moving
mails and folders between two running imap servers. The following might be of
