No hard feelings about the howto, I just wrote down what my experience was for those who need it.
Since there is nothing as great a tool as sendmail's milters, I'm sticking to sendmail for now. Although at postfix people are busy implementing the milter-api. If that is production stable I think I'm going to switch after all. I configure sendmail using m4, which works just fine for me. Afterwards I can easily tweak the cf. Just to let you know, sendmail is developing sendmailX which is a complete rewrite without the bother of hard to understand configuration file, and with excellent queueing. I did some testing with it, and it is pretty fast. However also hasn't adapted the old milter-api but uses a new one instead. (policy-milter).
