- store only userpart of login (e.g. user1, user2, user3)

This soon becomes a management mess if multiple users have the same name in different domains.

Although I like the idea of users with multiple domains being able to logon with all domains, we also must concern our old userbase which since year-to-date have been used to login only with their username, and no domain added, this would certainly obstruct the namespace of domain users or vica versa.

I'm not sure I made the feature request on the bugtracker, but we still like users to be able to login with both plain username with dbmail_usermap rewrite and fallback to no rewrite if authentication fails. (We discussed this earlier).

We have no need for this logging.
But a more admin friendly log mode to the mail.log file would be something else. We'd need messageid, userid, alias and other interesting stuff on 1 line per messages, to track messages more easily through the mailsystem.
