I've been test running the svn 2_2 branch for a while now and must say that 2.2.5 rc3 is the most stable and less buggy version of dbmail you'll find. IMHO.
There are no major issues and I actually haven't experienced any minor issues either, if there are any.
Being paranoid and waiting for 2.2.5 final is of course OK :).
