I have dbmail/postfix working fine, but I need to use a service from a
provider to send mail from a static IP address.
I setting up Postfix for smarthost/nexthop configuration and SMTP
AUTH...they have assigned ne a username and password but when I test it the
auth log file indicates,
Aug 12 12:26:33 cpe-777-713-14-80 postfix/smtpd[14691]: sql plugin create
statement from cmusaslsecretPLAIN username mail.mydomain.com
Aug 12 12:26:33 cpe-777-713-14-80 postfix/smtpd[14691]: sql plugin doing
query SELECT passwd FROM dbmail_users WHERE userid =
'usernamecmusaslsecretPLAIN';
Aug 12 12:26:33 cpe-777-713-14-80 postfix/smtpd[14691]: sql plugin: no
result found
So I added the username/pw my provider gave to to dbmail. Still not
working.
Am I going abou this the wrong way? Do I need to make ANY changes to dbmail
or is this exclusively a Postfix configuration issue?
Thank you,
Jim
