Hi I have here Debian Lenny 32 bit with dbmail-mysql 2.2.10-1+b1 and 3 networks.
From time to time, but mostly on weekend imapd stops working if a following way: If I telnet to it, for example $ telnet dbmailhostname imap It does not print as usual message "* OK dbmail imap (protocol version 4r1) server 2.2.10 ready to run". At same time telnet from another network can work. I have also fetchmail on dbmail server itself which connects every 10 seconds and checks public account folders for new emails via IMAP. From time to time I start to get messages from fetchmail like that: Aug 1 03:31:21 jupiter fetchmail[4357]: timeout after 300 seconds waiting for server jupiter.gamic.com. Aug 1 03:31:21 jupiter fetchmail[4357]: socket error while fetching from [email protected] Aug 1 03:31:21 jupiter fetchmail[4357]: Query status=2 (SOCKET) If I telnet at that moment to the imapd from localhost, I will also get no answer. After a while this "frozen" state is gone and everything starts working as before.
