I'm curious about the size of the messageblks table compared to the
amount of curmail_size listed in the users table. If I run the following
query (SELECT sum( curmail_size )
FROM dbmail_users;) I get the following results (11639193048) about
11GB. Now my messageblks table is about 25GB. I've ran OPTIMIZE on
messageblk but that didn't help much. I also run (dbmail-util -ay
&>/dev/null) every night . The total database size is 30GB and with
about 150 users.
All this is running on Gentoo Linux kernel 2.6.31 with the following specs
Core 2 Duo 2.93Ghz
4GB RAM
1TB 72000 RPM
One last thing, now that the database has grown so large DBMail
Administrator seems to timeout before it displays the main page with all
the statistics. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
