hm - sorry - our dbmail is plain-only and dovecot is sitting
in front of as proxy doing SSL termination for a couple of
reasons like same auth Postfix/IMAP/POP3 and historically
because dbmail2 did not support SSL and non-plaintext auth

Paul *please* by fixing the SSL issue not introduce
regressions in non-SSL setups :-)
