I wish I could be more helpful because obviously I'm struggling a bit with
my installation, the only saving grace is that most of my users have
Thunderbird and so far they are only experiencing the usual problems with
Thunderbird (I hate that software!).

For my own sanity I built dbmail 3.1.4 from scratch on a clean FreeBSD box
[note to self .80] (this is 9.1 64bit vs my production machine of 8.1 64bit)
with gmime-26-2.6.17. I pointed that at the database on my production
machine. Then I tried to access the clean machine with Outlook 2007 (I
don't have access to 2010/2013 at the moment, although I have seen the same
behaviour on 2010 and will test 2013 if I get the chance tomorrow). I
experienced the exact same corrupted messages and my test message when
delivered on the clean machine (with dbmail-deliver) to the production
machine also gave the same message corrupted when viewed in Outlook 2007 in
the same way.

I then deinstalled 3.1.4 and installed 3.0.2 on the test box (making no
other changes) for some reason this install was absolutely fine (which
doesn't work on my production box due to linked library issues). Again
accessing the database on my production box with Outlook 2007 everything was
fine (hurrah)... including messages that had been delivered to my production
box dbmail installation with gmime26-2.6.10 or gmime26-2.6.16

Forgive me, but to me this really suggests it is either a problem with
dbmail 3.1.4 itself OR dbmail 3.1.4 interacting with some other component of
my system.... but I wouldn't know how to pin it down.

Unless someone comes up with something I will try and clear my weekend and
regress to dbmail 3.0.2 then.

Daniel
