Just in case it got lost on the other topic:
I made a git live ebuild for the 3.1 branch now so any Gentoo users feel
free to add my dev overlay (lordvan):
My layman git overlay:
http://git.overlays.gentoo.org/gitweb/?p=dev/lordvan.git;a=summary
to add it with layman you just need to emerge layman with git support
and then add it with "layman -a lordvan"
- Don't forget to add a keyword to /etc/portage/package.keywords:
~net-mail/dbmail-3.1.9999 **
On emerge it'll tell you the info on which commit id, branch,..:
GIT update -->
repository: http://git.dbmail.eu/paul/dbmail
at the commit: abac5b58c94f270e534320ff264054bc79530b78
branch: dbmail_3_1
storage directory: "/usr/portage/distfiles/egit-src/dbmail"
checkout type: bare repository
it is also possible to override commit id and/or branch if anyone should
feel the need to do so.
anyway out of curiousity: is anyone besides me using dbmail on gentoo?
