We are using 3.1.7 “vanilla” from the freebsd-ports on this production
server.

We have no patches in place and glib is built from freebsd ports
(glib-2.36.3).

Reading the code-path involved. The last line 'message [1]' should
denote the same message as in the copy command: 3884500
Now where this '1' is coming from??

Which exact version are you using? dbmail-3.1.7 or some other (later)
revision? Any patches of your own in place? What glib version?
