hi reinhard, I've created the german surface form file myself. You can download it from here [1]. Please not that this file is probably 2-3 months old. If you want to create it on your own, you would need to install the dbpedia extraction framework, which is pretty easy and make sure that it creates the redirects/disambiguations/labels file which are needed by spotlight (I think only the redirects file is not downloaded from [2] ). You would then need to create a stopwords list for german (see [3] or [4]) and a list for bad URI patterns like "Liste von..." or "Begriffsklärung" etc. I used version db-spotlight 0.4 to create the surface forms which needed some adjustments to handle the DBpedia 3.7 localized URIs. Maybe that's changed for newer version.
Please notice that the surface form file's URIs are not correct in the respect they don't have the localized URIs. You would need to replace http://dbpedia.org... with http://de.dbpedia.org. I'm going to fix this, sorry. I hope this helps for now! Cheers, Daniel Bad URI patterns: ^Liste_der ^Liste_von .+(Begriffsklärung)$ [1] http://docs.aksw.org/boa/de_surface_forms.tar.gz [2] http://downloads.dbpedia.org/3.7/de/ [3] http://www.ranks.nl/stopwords/german.html [4] http://solariz.de/649/deutsche-stopwords.htm > hi, > > one more question. > i have searched the mailing list for any hints about the support of german. > are there any data available for download? > > Alexandru Todor has announced a data file for surface forms, > http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/message.php?msg_id=28435862 > > but the link is down. > > The requested page "/downloads/spotlight/surfaceForms.tsv" could not be > found. > > what needs to be done to fully support german? > i know the page > http://wiki.dbpedia.org/spotlight/internationalization/ > > best regards > reinhard > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Virtualization & Cloud Management Using Capacity Planning > Cloud computing makes use of virtualization - but cloud computing > also focuses on allowing computing to be delivered as a service. > http://www.accelacomm.com/jaw/sfnl/114/51521223/ > _______________________________________________ > Dbp-spotlight-users mailing list > [email protected] > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/dbp-spotlight-users > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Virtualization & Cloud Management Using Capacity Planning Cloud computing makes use of virtualization - but cloud computing also focuses on allowing computing to be delivered as a service. http://www.accelacomm.com/jaw/sfnl/114/51521223/ _______________________________________________ Dbp-spotlight-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/dbp-spotlight-users
