Respected Sir,
I would like to introduce myself, as an ambitious student of 6th semester
at Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad (IIITA), India; and
working towards our bachelor's degree in Information Technology would like
to do a project based on machine learning under your valuable guidance so
that I can enhance my analytical skills and gain practical experience in
the field of Computer science and Information Technology.
The project idea I am interested in: *Topical classification*
I have done many project in machine learning. I have also learned lot of
algorithms in Machine Learning and implemented them.
I have also learnt clustering algorithms and implemented them on the data
from UCI data repository. I have implemented K-Means algorithm and Self
Organizing Maps to find clusters in the iris data set, wine data set,
lenses data set, etc from the uci repository.
In the classification, I have done decision tree and K-Nearest
Neighbourhood algorithms (accuracy 87%), Perceptron Learning, and
Artificial Neural Networks and Decision Trees.
I Have implemented FP- Growth and Apriori Algorithm for Association Rule
Mining.
Recently, I have implemented face recognition using Principal Component
Analysis and now I am trying to implement face recognition using Linear
Discriminant Analysis. I have PCA implemented in matlab and LDA also i am
implementing in matlab.
Some of my Development projects are:
1) Mining of Frequent Sub Graphs and Distribution characteristics of
Infectious Disease using Graph mining Algorithms under the Guidance of
Prof. Dr. G.C. Nandi - IIIT Allahabad.
2) Software for Market Basket Analysis using java and netbeans at the front
end and apriori & frequent pattern tree algorithms at the back end which
can determine the various frequently purchased item sets and corrosponding
association rules from any transactional database under the Guidance of
Prof. O.P.Vyas – IIIT Allahabad.
3) 3-D Visualization of the campus using OpenGL. One can walk through the
campus and can see how the campus looks using the arrow keys under Dr.
Pavan Chakraborty – IIIT Allahabad.
Currently I am working on a project on Graph Compression which is also
related to compressing a graph somehow so that the resulting graph will
have less number of nodes by keeping the patterns or the properties
represented by the graph intact. By this, if we run machine learning
algorithms on the compressed graph, then also we will get the same results
that we would have got if run on original graph.
I am also good at programming. Generally, I used to code in c++ and c but I
know other languages also like Java. I have also good experience in matlab.
I qualified ACM-Amritapuri online contest with all over India 37 Rank.
As my CV indicates I have done programming in C/C++ , Java , and have
worked with platform such as Linux and Window. My areas of interest are
Graphics, Data Structures and Algorithms , Data Mining, Artificial
Intelligence and Machine Learning.
Apart from these I also have a good academic record too. Till 5th semester,
my C.G.P.A. is 9.54. I am also the Ex-Member of Technical club and Program
Management and Publicity club of IIIT - Allahabad .
I am research oriented guy and always comes up with new and innovative
ideas. This project under your kind guidance would provide me with the
ideal opportunity to assist and to expand my research skills. Please find
