Hello, I'm a newcomer to dbpedia-spotlight, but I have done some work with
much more specific Wikipedia information extraction. I'm evaluating dbpedia
for a summer project supporting disaster relief efforts by analyzing social
media, specifically, to find relevant information in relevant tweets, as a
way of grounding recognizable locations / entities.
I'm not sure what dbpedia-spotlight's basic REST interface queries are
giving me back, though.
For example, for a single resource result:
<resource label="Greater Toronto Area" uri="Greater_Toronto_Area"
> contextualScore="0.14567168056964874"
> percentageOfSecondRank="0.7431682488120483"
> support="632" priorScore="9.058041637638892E-6"
> finalScore="0.14567168056964874"
> types="DBpedia:Settlement, DBpedia:PopulatedPlace, DBpedia:Place,
> Schema:Place,
> Freebase:/location/citytown, Freebase:/location,
> Freebase:/location/dated_location,
> Freebase:/location/location, Freebase:/location/statistical_region"
> />

What do all the numeric fields mean? In particular, what do the following
value correspond to?
- contextualScore
- percentageOfSecondRank
- support
- priorScore
- finalScore
Is there some piece of documentation I'm missing?
This seems like good stuff for the front page of the github repo, or at
least the wiki, but I can't find a description of all these fields in the
repository / documentation webpages.
Thanks,
Chris
P.S., resending now that I'm a member of the mailing list, but I canceled
the first one.
