So I have 30+ of the files downloaded via your torrents, and it is
trying to seed, but either it isn't getting through my NAT or you
still have those connectivity problems.

On another machine - running,
btdownloadheadless.bittornado mappingbased_properties_en.nt.bz2.torrent

...I get "Problem connecting to tracker - [Errno 111] Connection refused"

meanwhile elsewhere on the 'net, Transmission.app believes it is
seeding exactly that file.

Am I right in thinking that the tracker should make it possible for
the Transmission-seeded copy to be useful even when behind NAT? (I
didn't open ports etc...).
