Hi,
I guess, the easiest (but maybe only partial correct) answer to this is 
that Wikipedia is improving its coverage of coordinates and the DBpedia 
dump is lagging.

Another answer could be that the mapping of geocoordinates raw 
properties to "good" coordinates is not yet in place in the new 
java/scala framework. and the mappings wiki,
