If that is true I wonder why also simple values (without the brackets) are extracted in other cases. For instance in http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Addo-Elefanten-Nationalpark the property |Lage=Südafrika is evaluated and the information does not vanish during the extraction process. Just test the mapping at http://mappings.dbpedia.org/index.php/Mapping_de:Infobox_Schutzgebiet.
