Hey,
I'm Navin, from the International Institute of Information Technology -
Bangalore (IIIT-B) [1]. I've been using DBpedia dumps (and other tools)
over the last year for the work I've been doing as part of the Web Science
Lab (formerly Open Systems Lab) [2]. We worked using RDF triples sourced
from multiple sources for a project that involved large scale context
analysis/ontology mapping and the like.

I've been super thankful to the DBpedia team for the awesome work they've
put in to further the Linked Data cause. And would love to contribute to
the project in one of the following domains.

I'm comfortable working with Python/Java/C/C++ though personally feel I
could pick up any language quickly enough if need be.

>From the list of projects provided[3], the projects that stood out to me
were:

1) 5.3. Parallel processing in DBpedia extraction Framework
I've worked with Docker/AWS/Spark before, and understand the need for
preconfigured setups for the same

2) 5.7. Reverse Engineering and Aligning Freebase with DBpedia
Again, since I've worked in a similar field, I feel I can contribute to
this. I understand the significance this would have for the whole project
too

3) 5.2. New Dynamic Extractors from Wikipedia Content with JSONpedia
Faceted Browsing
I must admit, I didn't know about the GSOC2014 work done in this context,
but this seems like a really cool project to work on.

I went through the links provided and will see how I can contribute to the
warmup tasks

Thanks

Navin
