As I mentioned, hostmaster(at)afrinic.net has been entirely cooperative with my requests to remove route objects from the data base that referred either to (1) bogon (globally unassigned) IP address space or (2) bogon (globally unassigned) AS numbers. The result being that as of my last check AFRINIC could brag that is is the first, and so far the only RIR whose IRR is now totally devoid of such "bogon" route objects. (In fairness to the other RIRs I should clarify that in AFRINIC's case they only had a grand total of just 4 such bogon route objects present in their data base when I started my analysis. This is in contrast to some other & older RIRs that did have and still do have orders of magnitide more bogon route obejcst in -their- data bases. So for the others, the task of eliminating these things is rather more difficult & time consuming.)
