This is Carolina Caeiro from the DNS Research Federation and Nik Smith from Verisign. Nik and I have been collaborating on reactivating the work of the DC-DNSI over the last couple of months. As the WSIS+20 process approaches, we believe it is important for the IGF to continue featuring conversations on the role of the DNS in Internet governance and explore how the Internet community can strengthen multi stakeholder responses to address issues that involve the DNS. We are reaching out to invite you to join the conversation! We have *updated the work plan for the DC-DNSI*. We are happy to take any feedback you may have on the proposed lines of work, either through the mailing list or if you’d like to contact us directly. We have *secured a spot in the agenda of the forthcoming IGF*. Our session entitled *"Closing the Governance Gaps: New Paradigms for a Safer DNS" is tentatively scheduled for Monday October 9 from 17:00 to 18:30 Kyoto time (UTC+9)*. The goal is to have a conversation about existing and emerging governance gaps in combating DNS-related online threats and explore concrete actions needed to bridge those gaps from across the Internet ecosystem. This will be a great opportunity for the community to provide input and feedback on the proposed action plan for the coalition. Here are some concrete actions we would appreciate from the members of this mailing list: - *Confirm your continued interest in the DC-DNSI.* We would like to update the list of participating stakeholders, so if you would like to continue participating in the Dynamic Coalition, please subscribe to the new mailing list here <https://lists.dnsrf.org/postorius/lists/dc-dnsi.lists.dnsrf.org/>. - *Give us input on the proposed action plan. *You can do this via email to the mailing list, individual emails to the points of contact, or at the IGF session itself. Depending on the appetite of the group, we may organise an interim meeting ahead of the IGF in Kyoto. - *Join the session at IGF 2023.* We have a diverse set of speakers, and would love to have as many members of this mailing list to join the conversation. We will be circulating scheduling details once the final IGF agenda is confirmed. We are excited to reactivate the work of the DC-DNSI and facilitate conversations among the members of this group.
