A friend of mine stopped over last night who is a big collector of 
1960's Texas music.  He is a fan of the 13th Floor Elevators the way we 
are about the Dead. He knows everything there is to know about them - 
even plays their songs on guitar.  He was familiar with the 11/23/72 
show with Doug Sahm and said he has a book with photos and some 
infomation on this one.  I don't recall the title, but he said the book 
is all about the Austin music scene and has a lot of posters in it from 
the Vulcan.

In any case he said that the drummer on this is a guy who was the 
drummer in a group called Sheevas Head Band and that there is a second 
fiddle player on it named Benny who was the original bass player for 
13th Floor Elevators.  He is going to let me borrow the book or provide 
me with some scans to post for everyone to see.
