I responded to this when it was posted to BUDD earlier today, so I thought I'd put my response here as well. We've been working hard over the last many months to get as many good functioning databases up on line for the New Riders as we can. It's something that people have always asked about, and now there are some worthwhile (and ever improving) resources on line.
First, you can find a great database of shows on the official NRPS site (www.nrps.net). There you can see setlists for shows that circulate on tape, and more interestingly, shows that don't. There is a complete (well, as complete as I know it to be) database of everything that does circulate kept at etree here: http://db.etree.org/bs_d.php?artist_key=250. You can also link to downloadable shows that are up at www.archive.org via this database. And for everything from the Jerry era of NRPS, www.thejerrysite.com has a great database that allows you to search in a number of ways to see how many time a song was played, etc... Search and click on 1970 and you will see all the NRPS sets for that year pop up. At this point, this database has the most correct song titles and spellings (is it "Truck Drivin' Man" or "Truck Driving Man" - at the jerry site, I have it all correct). Song titles are correct at nrps.net as well, of course. I have yet to back fill all the correct spellings at etree. At this point I only have the circulating shows listed at www.thejerrysite.com, but I will be incorporating the non-circulating set lists via the nrps.net database there soon as well. Thanks to Ryan Shiver for his ultimate patience with me in teaching me how to manipulate his amazing database there. Anyway, I thought that info would be of interest to anyone who did not already know about it. Here is my response that I posted to this message in BUDD earlier today: --- In [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > 7 I Am Your Man (Im In Love With You) (4:25) The correct title for this song (per Dawson) is "I'm In Love With You." > 12 Honky Tonk Woman (5:11) It's actually "Women," not "Woman." > 4 Cant Pay The Price (4:54) The correct title for this song is "If You Hear Me When I'm Leavin'." > > Previously circulated versions were missing much of Set 2 > (songs 6 through 11 > specifically). The currently circulating version of this date (often confused with 07/29/70) is listed at the Jerry Site: http://www.thejerrysite.com/Performance.do?action=id&id=1350 An interesting shuffling of the same material. I'll look very forward to hearing this new version. Be well everyone, and Happy Thanksgiving! Noah
