Well the newspaper article is probably right about Morning Dew.

The songs that are on the soundtrack of the film are questionable if the video and audio don't match, right?

I was able to view the whole film tonite and the version I have is both audio and video. I have it now in DVD, VCD, and MP3. I also found it online for sale in VHS. At 10:51 into part two, they play "cold rain and snow" till 12:14, which immediately cuts into "Sitting on top of the world" which they play till 12:40. I also have a newsclipping of the event which shows a picture of jerry playing on the Ferris Booth Hall steps and the write up says they also played "morning dew".
My friend doesnt remember what they played, just where they played, and I havent checked the sound against the album as you suggested, but it is a very clean crisp recording on the film so what you say is possible. The article says there was lots happening on the stage with student protestors trying to use the deads mic for their own purpose and that they "kicked" someone off the steps. You would figure some of that would come out in the recording.

"Columbia Revolt" is available as a two-part d/load from archive.org. Here
        are the links:

        Part One: http://tinyurl.com/2vrhh
        Part Two: http://tinyurl.com/2m8jb

There is about 1:45 minutes of footage (no audio) of the Dead about 11
minutes into part two. While "Cold Rain and Snow" and "Sitting On Top Of The
World" are played as soundtrack it's obvious that they are not from this
event. I haven't compared them but I think that were simply lifted from the
        first album.
