Thanks for updating this fine list!
I have a few queries/corrections to help make it more perfect...some
major, some minor.

In chronological order:

2/22/68 - Still listed as "missing from circulation," but as Deadlists
notes, Lemieux included it on the Taper's Section, where it can be
listened to. ('Unofficial' downloads of this also circulate.) No
vocals in the mix.

"Alembic studios, early or mid '68: studio rehearsal" - A couple
issues here. I believe this is undoubtedly Tom Constanten on organ,
and the rehearsal is for his benefit, which places this rehearsal in
early December '68. (Also the St Stephen>Eleven, stylistically, has to
be from later in the year.)
Also, there was no "Alembic studios" in '68. The tape is believed to
be from Pacific High Recording in San Mateo, where the Dead were
recording Aoxomoxoa.

"UV spring '68: #4:04" - Presumably track 20 of the unlabeled '68 reels?
<http://archive.org/details/gd68-xx-xx.sbd.vernon.9426.sbeok.shnf>
I thought this was from '69, and Graeme Boone suggests that it's
actually 4/17/69. (I haven't cross-checked yet.)

"Unknown Venue 5/68: 16:06" - Track 39 of the unlabeled '68 reels. I
thought this could be from June, since the St Stephen was so similar
to the 6/14/68 Stephen (and we know 6/14 was taped on SBD, hence other
shows from that month could have been) - but May could be
right. [Graeme Boone fancifully speculates that this is from 8/20/68,
but I think he's mistaken as St Stephen had changed in structure by
then.]

"Unknown Venue Fall '68: 12:12. Probably the Matrix, probably October."
I'm lost on this one. Is this track 26 of the unlabeled '68 reels
(timed at 13:36)? That was settled to be from 8/21/68. Or perhaps you
have an uncirculating Matrix Dark Star?

Fillmore 11/7/69 - May be worth timing out, with the middle jam?
(18:33 > UJB jam 1:45# 5:47)

9/17/70 + 10/11/70 - These are called "near excellent AUDs." No way.

Cleveland 10/17/70 - Has two cuts to note. There's a big cut in the
intro jam after 3:10 which takes out most of the first verse; about
2-4 minutes are lost. There is another cut after 17:40, during the
transition to the second verse; probably less than a minute is lost.

"Yale Bowl 7/31/71: B+ AUD" - And also the SBD on Road Trips
v1:3. (The portion of the AUD used as a patch on that release sounded
excellent.)

"Chicago 10/21/71: somewhat degraded FM" - Perhaps the older source,
but we have a pristine SBD now.

"St. Louis 10/18/72: FM-AUD Bear's AUD master, FM-broadcast; SBD" -
This intrigues me, since I hadn't known of an FM broadcast or a Bear
AUD for this show. If there is a Bear AUD, it would be good to hear
it.

"Milwaukee 10/23/72: near excellent AUD" - "Distant & fairly
listenable," maybe.

"Cleveland 10/28/72: Bear's AUD master" - I thought this was an SBD.

"Nassau 1/10/79: mildly degraded SBD" - I didn't know there was an SBD
for this show; thought it was AUD-only.

I didn't check the "fragmentary Dark Stars" list too closely, but
2/12/69 Fillmore East definitely belongs on there. I hope that one is
more complete in the Vault.

In the "Evolution" section, you mention, "after 11/7/70 the 2nd vocals
stayed dropped" - I think you mean 11/7/71. In '71 sometimes they did
the second verse, sometimes not, with no consistency.

And lastly, a typo in the "Dark Star Ferox": "Madison 10/25/72".

(I'll also parenthetically note that there seem to have been no
updates on this list of the official Dark Star releases since the
Dick's Picks days, though it's not too important.)

And, I don't know if it's worthwhile to always note guest musicians;
but they are sometimes present, and I think worth noting - for
instance 8/3/69, 2/11/70, 2/18/71 + 4/8/71 (Lagin), 4/28/71,
10/18/74.
