Well, I am not totally familiar with the "explicit instantiations" at the bottom of lac/sparse_direct.cc
For those who, like me 10 minutes ago, are not totally familiar with explicit instantiations in dealii, everything is actually explained in the documentation (http://www.dealii.org/7.0.0/doxygen/deal.II/Instantiations.html). For some reason, I didn't see this page before. Thanks to the writer.
