[deal.II] step-47, reference paper??

Dear All I have viewed step-47 source file in svn version. This example looks like be for the enhanced FEM for the interface. I am very interested in but could not understand the many points of the codes in detailed implementation. Could I know what reference paper(s) is(are) used for this example? Sincerely I would know to apply for my cfd problem. Best regards, Sungho
