after many moons of work, Martin Kronbichler, Timo Heister and I have
finally finished step-32:

The code not only solves a non-trivial equation (the Boussinesq
approximation for thermally driven flow) but also is a more complete
demonstration (compared to step-40) of the framework that allows us to
solve problems on hundreds or thousands of processors in a completely
distributed fashion.
