In addition to Timo's question, here are two more: - You may have to use --enable-mpi, not --with-mpi - What version of deal.II are you actually using? I ask because this line in the error message: > /home/xw3/package/deal.II/include/deal.II/distributed/tria.h:90: error: > ‘p4est_balance_type_t’ does not name a type ...does not contain any mention of p4est_balance_type_t neither in release 7.1 nor in the svn version.
