Dear Pushkar, Deal.II supports simplex meshes, you can look at the documentation : https://www.dealii.org/current/doxygen/deal.II/group__simplex.html Consequently, you can import a 2D triangular mesh made with GMSH, or you can transform a quad mesh generated by deal.II into a simplex mesh.
