for debugging it would be better to try reproducing the failure in Debug
mode.
Apart from that, I would just disable the ADOL-C dependency if you don't
need it if I were you.

If you happen to get more debug information that would of course be nice to
understand if it has anything to do with deal.II.
In general, the quick tests check more for a proper setup of the
dependencies rather than really testing deal.II features so it's likely a
problem with the ADOL-C installation itself.
