Dear Rick

     My name is Jane Elmore and I am a graduate student at Texas Tech
University.  I am working on a masters in Art Ed, with an emphasis in
photography.  For the last eighteen months, I have been working on a photo
project, photographing family members of people on death row.

Thus far I have photographed nine families or individuals.  I am looking
for more families to photograph. I wanted to ask you if you know
anyone that might be interested in participating in my project?  My
ultimate goal is to create an awareness of what our society is condoning
by allowing capital punishment to be an option in our justice system. I am
hoping the photographs will make people aware of the families effected in
capital punishment.

I have one picture that will be on exhibited at the Texas Photographic
Society's  national competition exhibit.  The exhibit will tour several
states for one year.  The show will open in Austin on September 10,  2007.
The exhibit will be in the Houston Photo Fest this spring.  I am very
committed to this project.

I believe the project will further the cause to end the death penalty
using art as a means of communication. I am grateful for any help you are
able to offer.

I am happy to travel in order to photograph a family.  Enclosed is my
