TEXAS----new execution date
April execution for inmate tied to multiple deaths
A Texas death row inmate who's been linked to more than a dozen slayings and
who's claimed to have committed as many as 70 murders around the country has an
execution date.
Tommy Lynn Sells is set for lethal injection April 3 in Huntsville.
A state judge in Del Rio in Val Verde County last month set the date for the
49-year-old Sells. His lead appeals attorney said Friday lawyers were "kind of
surprised" when they received a copy of the order.
Sells was condemned for slashing the throats of 2 girls at their home near Del
Rio in South Texas in 1999. A 13-year-old, Katy Harris, was killed. Her
10-year-old sister survived.
Sells has called himself "Coast to Coast," a reference to where he says he's
committed murders.

INDIANA:
2 accused of killing Harrison Co. couple may face death penalty
2 young men accused of killing Harrison County couple in August 2013 may now
face the death penalty.
Austin Scott and Kevin Schuler appeared before a judge Friday in a court room
crowded with family members of both the victims and the accused.
Scott and Schuler pleaded not guilty in connection with the brutal murders of
Gary Henderson and Asenath Arnold. Police said the two entered the couple's
Greenville home through an unlocked door and brutally killed Henderson and
Arnold. Police also said the suspects stole prescription pills, credit cards
and guns from the home.
Scott and Schuler were offered a plea deal - life in prison without parole, but
prosecutors said Friday that deal is now off the table after lawyers for Scott
and Schuler said it is too premature to discuss a deal.
Prosecutors now say the will officially file for the death penalty in the case
against both defendants.
Scott's murder trial was scheduled to begin March 31, but the judge allowed for
a continuance and both men are set to return to court April 25.
As Austin Scott left court room one of his supporters shouted, "I love you,
Austin."
Scott's mother declined to make a statement on camera but said, "My heart goes
out to the victims - we lost someone, too."
