Emne: Wanted: International tutors and international students' support persons
      Til: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

The Faculty of Social Sciences is recruiting tutors for international
exchange and degree students for autumn 2007. Additionally, we are
looking for "support persons" for international degree students at each
department of the Faculty.

Tutors help incoming international students to get started with their
studies and get familiar with student life in Helsinki during the
orientation week. International students' support persons provide
personal, in-depth assistance to new degree students in drawing up the
study plan and picking up courses during the autumn term.

Tutors and support persons receive a fee of 150 Euros and additionally 3
credits (opintopiste) or 2 credit units (opintoviikko).

Basic requirements for international tutors and support persons:

* At least one full year of studies completed at the University of
Helsinki, preferably more.

* Sufficient skills in Finnish (for example, being able to follow
training sessions in Finnish).

* Possibility to attend the tutor training during April and May and to
tutor new international students at the beginning of the Autumn Term
2007 (last week of August or the first week of September.)

For the complete posting (in Finnish) and a link to the online
application form, please visit

Applications period closes on March 9, 2007.
