I would personally be fine with this but people tell me that the conference video is integral to producing a great free operating system. > Or what's your solution to be able to continue to record and stream > video from talks and at the same time respect your privacy? I think it's fine to record me if I'm giving a talk and have consented to being on video. If I'm quietly sitting in the audience, though, what possible value is there to film me? > Would signs at the entrance to talk rooms and/or "no video" areas inside > the rooms be enough. I don't know what "no video" areas would look like but it sounds a little to me like "if you don't like having your crotch grabbed by random street urchins, don't go to third-world countries, and also please consider sitting in this trash can over here." Signs saying "your audio will be streamed live even if talks are not going on" would be helpful in reminding me not to speak anywhere there's a microphone, but again, I think the harm of this recording outweights the good (which I believe to be nil). _______________________________________________ Debconf-discuss mailing list Debconf-discuss@lists.debconf.org http://lists.debconf.org/mailman/listinfo/debconf-discuss
