Dear DebConfers, I've had a discussion with one of you at DC14, and since I don't remember who that was, here it is for everyone! ;)
We were talking about the idea of using a SDCard in a RAID1 configuration with a rotational disk, mainly for speed. The basic idea was to put all the readily read stuff on a RAID1 with the rotational disk flagged --write-mostly, so that all reads come from the (fast) SDCard. Meanwhile, I have discovered a better approach: https://www.kernel.org/doc/Documentation/bcache.txt which looks really cool for this sort of job. Now just someone has to package bcache-tools ;) -- .''`. martin f. krafft <madd...@debconf.org> @martinkrafft : :' : DebConf orga team `. `'` `- DebConf15: Heidelberg, Germany: http://debconf15.debconf.org DebConf16 in your country? https://wiki.debconf.org/wiki/DebConf16
