I received a shot of Havrix HepA vaccine today. (There were some complications... but this turned out to be a fun experience overall). I was told I should return to the clinic in 6-12 months for a second shot, which 'tops up' the body's immune response for the longer term. Given the long latent period (2-6 weeks), I'd be most worried about coming home and passing this to other people around me, perhaps those who are more vulnerable.
