Hello Team Japan,

Looking at the cost spreadsheet:

Can you clarify what the "Travel(staff)" sections are for?

My first impression of this was for travel agency like work assisting attendees, that isn't something DebConf has provided in the past.

Is this maybe for a site-visit by DebConf committee members to see the venue?

Our budget is assuming that we are able to fully book out and fill the hotels. Our attendee arrivals are generaly spread out over about 10 days, peaking after DebConf starts. See this graph of arrivals at DebConf 25:

How is this going to affect our hotel booking? Can we negotiate to pay for only the rooms that we need for each day?

Also, what happens if we get fewer attendees than we planned for, can we model the budget for some different attendee numbers?

Can we please document what a semi-double room is. I think this is uniquely Japanese thing. From my research, it appears to be a bed for 2 people, that's smaller than a double-bed, but bigger than a single bed.

Stefano
