Hello everybody, I'm using changepassword.cgi script to change windows clients samba passwords. http://changepassword.sourceforge.net/ There are this files and directory involved to complete process and change samba password: /etc/passwd file /etc/shadow file /etc/samba/smbpasswd file (if samba changing was enabled) /etc/squid/passwd file (if squid changing was enabled) /tmp directory
Last week I add new accounts and after that chnagepassword script gives me error message that : --------------------------------------------- User not found or invalid. Please go back and try again. --------------------------------------------- I 'm sure that user exist and this is happennig with all users as well as users which had accounts for long time already. When I try login from windows using what ever username I choose it is working. So just changepassword script does not. I have correct permitions fro all files and /tmp directory so there is no problem as well.
