Hi. For those using emacspeak, if you do not know already, there is an espeak speech server for Emacspeak available on Debian. However, right now you need to patch the sources and compile them yourself before you can use the speech server.
A patch to apply to /usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/emacspeak/servers/linux-espeak/ can be found here: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?msg=10;filename=linux-espeak.patch;att=1;bug=543920 Before you run make in /usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/emacspeak/servers/linux-espeak/ you need to apply the patch linked above and install tcl8.4-dev and libespeak-dev. A wishlist bug has been filed against emacspeak to have linux-espeak precompiled and shipped by default: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=543920 Given that emacspeak is arch: all, this will probably involve the creation of a spearate binary package, something like emacspeak-espeak. -- CYa, ⡍⠁⠗⠊⠕ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
