espeakup is available, http://people.debian.org/~sthibault/espeakup/ gets 
you to the right directory.  You put the disk in and reboot the machine, 
you're supposed to hear a beep at which time typing expert and hitting 
enter is a good idea.  Then you wait.  Not long after that you get asked
