I am a retired, visually impaired computer specialist, my experience primarily in the Windows world. I have had a few brushes with Unix in the past and now want to build a Linux system for home use. Is this the appropriate list to get some guidance on my newbie questions? I do not mind digging and I have already been doing a lot of reading. I believe I am getting close to an attempted install of Debian on a desktop. If another list is more appropriate for my questions, please let me know.
