Hi, If you only have -one- IP address and you're using PPP, there is no special thing you need to do compared with having a dynamic IP.
You can try installing the package "pppconfig" and running that to set up your phone numbers and loginname/password pair. It's always a good idea to check any manual pages for information that might be applicable to your situation; that will help you when you take the (LAST RESORT!!) option to contact a person on the internet. At that point, you will have done some reading. Then, you would be more familiar with the problem and some of its possible solutions. This would let the question you ask have more information, be more complete and focused on your specific problem. In general, whether you ask on the list or you are reading on your own, it will help to specify as much information as you have, boiled down as far as you can. -Jim --- Jim Lynch Finger for pgp key as Laney College CIS admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.laney.edu/~jim/ as Debian developer: [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.debian.org/~jwl/
