Hmm, I found another way of doing this: I used the romfile in: ftp://ftp.digital.com/pub/Digital/Alpha/firmware/readmes/archive/pc164sx I put the romfile on my floppy and it worked , however this is a 5.6-3 srm version. But I'm glad srm came up anyway, it should now be easier to upgrade to v5.8. At least , I hope so. Now, lets first see if I can get linux to boot using aboot :) So , nevermind my previous post , unless you have clever tips offcause :-) Regards, Jaap
