You only need to compile the module with gcc-3.4 because the kernel in pure64 was also compiled that way. I am using the latest nvidia module with /pure64. Assuming you are using the archive kernel. If you are compiling your own then you just need to match what you are yourself doing. 'gcc-3.4' refers to a compiler version in one case and an archive name compiled with that compiler in another case. So it is a little confusing. But as far as the nvidia driver is concerned it makes no difference. Bob
