There is a mainboard compatibility list available here: https://alioth.debian.org/docman/view.php/30192/27/mainboards.html Personally, I've had good experiences with MSI K8N Neo2 (Socket939) - I bought it because it was rated highly in a recent issue of Linux Format. As for the DVD burner, I bought a Plextor PX-712A and it works great too. Ladislav
